Introduction

You love animals and you want to convince Mr Duncan to  adopt an Australian animal. When the school adopts the animal they will have to make a yearly donation of $100 to the Australian Environmental Protection Agency. This money is used to  preserve the animal's habitat.  In order to persuade Mr Duncan to adopt one of these animals you will research one Australian animal of your choice and then write a report.
There is a chart you will fill in with the information that you locate on the Internet.

Task

You will complete the chart using the online resources.

Locate and label where in Australia the animal lives and mark it on a map.

Prepare a written report using Word. The report will need to have pictures of your animal.

Process
1.  Print the chart.

2.  Select your Australian animal from this list. Put its          name on the chart.

3.  Find the information needed to complete the chart.
     Fill in each section. Use your own words. DO NOT          copy.

4.  Get a map of Australia from your teacher or print out      a copy from here.

5.  Locate and label the location of your animal on the        map.

6. Do a good copy using Word. Your report must be           written in full sentences. Use Wordart for your main       heading, a size 14 font for the information and               include 2 - 3 pictures.

7.  Evaluate your presentation using the rubric linked to      this Web Quest.

Evaluation

Use the rubric to evaluate your project. This same rubric will be used by the teacher to evaluate your project.
Conclusion

By now you have completed the task you were hired to do. Mr Duncan is very greatful for all of your assistance. He will now be able to decide which animal or animals to adopt. he will also know which animals need their habitat protected.
